2016 International credit Union Day Celebrations in Cameroon

The Cameroon Cooperative Credit Union League (CamCCUL) launched the 2016 International Credit Union Day celebrations, on Saturday 22nd October 2016 at the Grandstand, Commercial Avenue Bamenda.

The occassion was placed under the distinguished patronage of His Excellency the Governor of the North West Region and was celebrated under the theme “The Authentic Difference”.

Main events included: a motor-cade, tug of war, march-past, award of prizes, entertainment at individual Credit Union level.

CamCCUL represents Cameroon in the World Council of Credit Unions (WOCCU) which has more than 276 million members worldwide.

CamCCUL women in action

Some 10 pupils of the Government Primary School Old Town Group II, Bamenda, North West Region, have received school bags, uniforms and text and exercise books from CamCCUL Women, to enhance their access to quality education. CamCCUL women recognize the need for needy pupils to be assisted with basic education materials. They equally hold strong the believe that poverty should not be allowed to hinder children’s access to education.

CamCCUL 48th Ordinary and Elective Annual General Meeting.

CamCCUL’s 48th Ordinary and Elective Annual General Meeting held on 25th June 2015 at Talotel Bafoussam under the patronage of H.E Augustine Awa Fonka, the Governor of West Region. The meeting was attended by over 350 Credit Union presidents (also known as delegates), observers, CamCCUL staff and partners. Delegates elected members of the Board with Musa Shey Nfor president of BapCCUL elected as President, to run the affairs of the network for the next three years. The highly interactive meeting took resolutions to better improve on the quality of services offered within the network.
